Penn Central action part 1……

Several days ago we got the itch to do some railfanning again, so we headed down to our usual area to catch the PC at work. As usual GP7 5628 was at work as we caught him switching Paxton-Sullivan scrap switching out a Southern gondola full of scrap metal:

We then watched 5628 start work the loading/unloading tracks at P&G:

Old 5628 had more work to do today but alas, that action will come soon in part two. Stay tuned….!

Some random shots….

With some time to kill today I took some random photos around the area:

Out to railfan….

Again yesterday I had a bit of time to run down to one of my favorite areas to catch some PC action. When I arrived the crew must have been eating lunch in the yard office as 5628 and caboose were parked next to it as seen below:

I then watched the crew get to work. First they pulled a loaded scrap gon from the scrapyard, then spotted an empty C&NW gondola.

Next up, the crew pulled the UPFE reefer from the team track siding, then pulled the empty WP boxcar from Armitage Furniture:

With that done, my lunch break was over and had to get back to work. More next time…..!

Watching the B&O…..

Yesterday we were out and about doing the usual railfanning when we ran across the B&O switching out one end of Proctor and Gamble. It took quite awhile for the crew of SW 9409 to switch cars from loading tracks and holding tracks, but finally got their work finished! In the meantime tucked away on the team track siding was a PRR cabin still in PRR livery which was quite a find! Photos below of the action:

A huge thank you....!

Just a shout out to all those looking at this website for my layout for the fact it just turned over 10,000 views yesterday! So a BIG thank...
